A look back at March 6, 2020 – Draft Kings Main Slate Winning Lineup
As the NBA Season is set to restart, I am reminded of the 23pts/1k value that Phoenix Suns Aron Baynes smashed on. You had to have him in your lineup to take down a tournament slate that day. The 3k salary not only freed up cap space for an optimal lineup, he went on a rampage and put up 69.5 DK points.
It wasn’t just Baynes
There were 3 players under $3,500 that were rostered in the winning DK DFS Lineup, Shaquille Harrison at 3,500 put up 48.5 DK points, and more importantly was owned a measly 3.11%
- Baynes at $3,000 went 23x his salary
- Harrison at $3,500 went 13.8x his salary
- Teague at $3,300 went 6.2x his salary

How to identify these plays
News, news and more news. NBA DFS requires the most attention of all major sports. The late breaking news is crucial to finding value plays that ultimately leave room for the chalky plays. Late Swap is also a key benefit on Draft Kings. To play NBA DFS well you need to spend the time on game day, first in preparing your player pools, and second having a what if plan ready to go.
Minutes & Usage Rate
News will change projections. The metrics to look at are the projected minutes and usage rates. DFS Advantage provides the ability to identify these metrics in tandem for any position and/or salary range. Looking at players salary of $3,500 and under it was clear that the top 3 options were the aforementioned players that ultimately made it to the winning line up on Draft Kings tournament slates.
